After reading all the negative reviews, I was a bit worried after booking a 12 seater van at AVR, Houston. Fortunately, we had a good experience. I received a call to confirm the reservation a couple of days before the rental. Van was ready for us, clean and in good condition. Tires looked new. I would have given 5 stars but for the confusion during pickup with the documents needed to get the unlimited miles and decline rental insurance. Wish they had that information online. That said, I would definitely consider AVR Houston again.

For future renters:
1. To get unlimited miles, you need to provide proof that you live 120 miles away (license and recent utility bills)
2. If you are planning to decline AVR insurance coverage, be ready to have someone from your insurance company confirm that your insurance will in fact cover the rental van.

We had a great experience. Wish we had gotten the name of the wonderful lady we were shuttled to/from airport by. Drop off was a breeze and we were first group to airport via shuttle. Pick-up upon arrival took longer than we expected and we had an antsy 20-month old, but again the woman driving the shuttle more than made up for it in demeanor and attention. Will rent from again when in area!!!!
