  My wife fosters for a cat rescue and usually has to see specific vets around PA due to non-profit agreements. There have been several cases where other vets diagnosed cats as "we don't really know why this happens", or "they may be like that forever". We took those cases to Mount Caramel for a second opinion out of our own pocket and, long story short, the cats in question had been misdiagnosed and are now fully better.
  
  My only complaint is that Mount Caramel seems super expensive compared to past vets I have seen. It becomes prohibitive very quickly, especially when you are trying to help strays.

  I've been a customer for many years and they have always delivered great service, a caring group w/ great follow through and a real commitment to all the animals and families they serve. They are certainly an important part of our local community!

  I've been going to MCAH for over 20 yrs. and I never hesitate to see any of the vets. Although our last visit will not have a happy outcome, Dr. McGee did not hesitate to get things (testing) rolling immediately. He had Dr. Fox come in and confirm the Ultrasound results. All my dogs have been well cared for at this practice, and I never hesitate to recommend them. My granddog is now a patient there.

  Best vet in the Zone! Love MCAH and the care they provide. And they have dog obedience classes! Chris is a great instructor.

  The best vet around! I have been taking my three pups there for years. Everyone is professional and happy to help. They always follow up after appointments (even just shots). They are also pretty reasonable and do not nickle and dime you for everything. Highly recommended :)

I recommend laser therapy as well. Mt Carmel Animal Hospital does it and they also have underwater treadmill and other physical therapy tools. Ask for Dr McGee & Kathy. Dr McGee is great with bones and joints and runs their PT program. They are in York Rd in Hereford 410-343-0200. I hope your pup feels better soon.
