  I have recently used Underwood & Associates to file a provisional patent and I must say that they really made the entire process a walk in the park. They made me feel comfortable the entire time and were able to answer any question with regards to this process. They were very clear about their cost estimations and provided breakdowns upfront. The best part was the cost. When compared to other firms, I can assure you that U&A will be hard to beat and am sure they will provide the same detail and effort as any other firm out there. I will be sure to continue using U&A on future projects.

  Underwood & Associates is by far the best patent firm I have worked with. Dr. Underwood is a great communicator and was quick to learn the nuances of my invention despite it both being one of the more complex mechanical examples in my field of work and from an entirely different field of study than his primary body of experience. He is very proficient at identifying all novel material in an idea and enhancing the invention beyond what I have come to expect from patent agents and attorneys. I also very much appreciated the concise fruitful meetings, streamlined editing process, and the many other details that contributed to the efficient use of both my time and his. It is safe to say I will be returning in the future (presuming my brain does not stop working entirely), since I am fairly certain I will not find this level of quality again at such a reasonable price based on past experiences.   Dave at Underwood and Associates has provided patent filing services for Eden Medical for many years. He does a very good job of searching out prior art, providing recommendations for patent strategy and following through with the patent application. He has successfully helped us through the process of negotiating with the USPTO to clarify our patent claims and convince the attorney of our unique property over prior art work. He works hard to find solutions for positioning the patent details into a strong offering for licensing and business leverage.

  I'm at David Underwood a few years back by word of Mouth from a friend of a friend.
  Talk about ABSOLUTE professional. Wow. 1st class service. Underwood and Associates always kept me in the loop. Communicate with people, and treat them with 1st class as well. Which difficult to find especially here in Chicago.
  All this happened just by phone. Yes by phone. I was in Chicago and David in Minnesota. We met in person while he was visiting here in Illinois. Again same
  professionalism as on the phone. Great guy.
