Kristi is amazing! Within a few hours of texting her she responded to set up an in-home appointment and was at my house the next morning.
While in the hospital I saw 3 to 4 different Lactation Consultants over 4 days. They were somewhat helpful but not nearly as thorough as Kristi. She weighed my little one before starting a nursing session, after he fed from one side, and a third time after nursing so that we were able to know not only how much he was taking in total but exactly how much milk he was taking in from each side. Kristi showed me a couple different oral exercises to do with my little one to improve his suction which will elicit a deeper latch. She gave me helpful handouts to keep with handwritten notes so I could refer back to them. Not only was she an expert on all things Breastfeeding but she shared a plethora of general baby knowledge which is invaluable to a first time mom!

We had a little squirt (6#) and she was not doing well latching. What a terrifying experience for a new momma. Several (3) lactation specialists worked w us where we delivered but we were still struggling upon leaving. We picked up some donor milk and I got a referral from a neighbor to call Kristi. She met us 1.5 hours upon getting home from the hospital and was home w us for 2.5 hours and then again for the next 2 days. We got the hang of it-- it took work and knowledge that I couldn't have gotten through Google. So much of what she taught us was incredibly nuanced! She later assisted us in navigating some confusing feeding advice/ concerns from our initial MD and went for a second opinion. Kristi wrote an incredibly thorough report about our babies weight, our feedings, etc.... We were told by our pediatrician upon reading the report that she was blown away by Kristi's knowledge and to ask her just about anything as she knows what she's talking about! She also worked w us on Infant CPR and 1st Aid and also about transitioning (so sad ---our baby is now 1!) to real food!
Kristi was an angel!
